About The Position

As an IT Infrastructure Intern, you will join Vervint’s Modern Infrastructure Practice, which supports cloud, DevOps, Office 365, servers, applications, databases, networks, and storage solutions. You will help provide technical support to clients and technical teams, address technical challenges, and build your technical skills through varied assignments and mentored project work.

The role involves handling defined support tasks, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, documenting work, maintaining device-support agreement reconciliation and inventory processes, and contributing to continuous learning and root-cause analysis. You will work within customer compliance and service-level agreement reporting structures and may contribute to best-practice materials in your subject matter area.

Requirements

• Working toward a degree in IT or having related work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Ability to work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and individual initiative.
• Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope by following detailed instructions.
• Desire to expand technical skills through exposure to a variety of assignments.
• Ownership mindset and keen attention to detail, ensuring tasks are performed with excellence.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, virtual desktops or machines, or Hyper-V.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined tasks based on incoming help tickets and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Proactively provide updates on task progress.
• Maintain device support agreement reconciliation, inventory processes, and procedures.
• Create detailed and accurate documentation of work performed for use by others.
• Apply a continuous-learning mindset and incorporate learnings into documentation and root-cause analysis efforts.
• Participate in project work with mentorship and deliver assigned tasks within the specified timeframes.
• Work within customer compliance and service-level agreement (SLA) reporting structures.
• Provide input on or create best-practice artifacts within the relevant subject matter expert skillset.
