The IT Infrastructure Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting Community Care Plan’s Information Technology team with computer hardware, software, end-user support, and basic technical troubleshooting. Under the supervision of IT Infrastructure staff, the intern will assist with day-to-day technology support tasks and learn how reliable IT services support CCP employees and operations. The role is intended for a motivated, customer-focused, curious student who is eager to learn. No prior professional IT support experience is required. This educational, practical internship gives students the opportunity to apply classroom learning while gaining exposure to IT infrastructure, information security, and support for business departments across CCP. The internship is scheduled for June 1 through August 6, 2027, for up to 29 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least one in-person day per week. The first two days include on-site orientation and training in organizational principles, compliance, departmental functions, computer systems, and business processes. The program is described as lasting 8 to 10 weeks. The intern may work with confidential or proprietary information and must sign a Confidentiality Agreement upon hire. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and have an interest in IT infrastructure, computer support, or technical services. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, an interest in troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to follow instructions, document work, seek guidance, learn tools and processes, manage assigned tasks, and handle information discreetly. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and everyday computer systems is expected; coursework or exposure to operating systems, networking, or hardware is a plus. The role’s physical demands include regularly sitting, using hands, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing; frequently standing, walking, and sitting; occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and occasionally lifting or moving up to 15 pounds. The work environment may include work inside or outside the office and travel to other offices, as well as domestic travel. Noise is usually moderate. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Candidates selected for the position must complete a Level 2 background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Community Care Plan is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
