About The Position

As an IT Helpdesk Intern, you will help support Antares’ growing team and the day-to-day technology employees rely on to do their jobs. You will work directly with users to troubleshoot account, application, and hardware issues while helping deploy and maintain laptops, workstations, and other IT systems. You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of corporate IT, including onboarding, account administration, endpoint maintenance, inventory management, cybersecurity and compliance activities, and end-user training. You will also provide responsive, white-glove IT support to company executives. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical problems, working directly with users, and taking ownership of issues through resolution.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in at least a bachelor’s degree program, and going into your Junior or Senior year of studies
  • Must have prior internship experience, or significant (>1yr) project team, laboratory, or relevant hands-on technical experience

Nice To Haves

  • GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Experience troubleshooting computers, applications, accounts, or other end-user technology
  • Experience in a University club or organization, leadership role preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organization and ability to maintain accurate equipment and system records
  • Ability to work effectively with users across different roles and levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot day-to-day user issues involving accounts, applications, hardware, and other IT systems
  • Create and configure accounts for new employees
  • Deploy and configure new laptops and workstations
  • Set up desks and associated IT equipment for new and existing employees
  • Diagnose malfunctioning or aging systems and coordinate hardware swaps and replacements
  • Patch and maintain employee systems
  • Configure and manage systems used across the organization
  • Assist with cybersecurity and compliance-related tasks
  • Tag IT equipment and maintain accurate hardware inventory
  • Provide IT onboarding and training to new employees
  • Provide responsive, white-glove IT support to executives
  • Help maintain reliable IT operations as the company grows to more than 160 users
