About The Position

RQ Construction is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician for their Virginia Beach, Virginia office. This role serves as the primary point of contact for technical support across the company, assisting employees in various offices and project locations. The main objective is to maintain workforce productivity by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, while ensuring adherence to company policies and DoD cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities include managing support tickets, deploying and maintaining equipment, providing onboarding support for new employees, and supporting technology setups at office and field locations. The technician will collaborate with internal IT team members, project personnel, and external vendors to deliver reliable and secure IT services throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three years of practical experience providing end-user support.
  • Experience diagnosing hardware/software issues.
  • Experience managing IT devices in a professional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials are strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting users in construction, engineering, or design-related industries is a plus.
