About The Position

The IT Hardware Sales and E-commerce Manager is a critical revenue driver and the ultimate “Triage Master” for our refurbished tech inventory. Based on-site in Chantilly, VA, you will own the full remarketing strategy across both wholesale B2B channels and direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Shopify). This is a “Strategic Doer” role. You will build buyer networks and negotiate high-volume broker deals while also managing daily e-commerce operations, optimizing listings, and ensuring inventory syncs seamlessly across platforms. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will continuously analyze market demand to determine the optimal sales channel for each asset, balancing the speed of wholesale with the higher margins of retail e-commerce. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, analytics, and execution, and wants direct ownership of revenue, margin, and channel performance.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in ITAD, IT hardware sales, or secondary market trading combined with hands-on e-commerce management
  • Direct experience managing Amazon Seller Central (FBA & FBM), eBay, and Shopify
  • Experience with multi-channel tools (e.g., ChannelAdvisor, Sellbrite, Linnworks, ShipStation)
  • Deep understanding of secondary market pricing, valuation, and resale strategy
  • Proven ability to balance bulk inventory movement with margin optimization
  • Strong analytical skills (Intermediate/Advanced Excel)
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • ITAD or lifecycle services industry experience
  • Familiarity with global trading platforms and broker networks
  • Understanding of NIST data sanitization standards
  • Experience managing both wholesale and retail e-commerce channels

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L for Amazon, eBay, and Shopify sales channels
  • Manage listings, optimize for SEO, and maintain account health
  • Troubleshoot suppressed listings and resolve platform issues
  • Run Amazon PPC/advertising campaigns and optimize performance
  • Improve Shopify storefront conversion and user experience
  • Serve as escalation point for complex retail customer issues
  • Identify and evaluate new e-commerce platforms and marketplaces to expand sales channels and drive incremental revenue
  • Lead improvements to the Securis Shopify storefront (securis.ws), including potential redesign, to increase conversion and overall performance
  • Drive wholesale distribution through domestic and international broker networks
  • Build and expand relationships with IT buyers, resellers, and enterprise clients
  • Convert inbound marketplace activity into long-term B2B partnerships
  • Attend industry events (e.g., E-Scrap, IAITAM) to strengthen buyer network
  • Leverage retail platforms as lead-generation tools for wholesale opportunities
  • Set and adjust daily pricing based on real-time market demand
  • Determine optimal sales channel (wholesale vs. e-commerce) for each asset
  • Monitor sell-through rates, pricing benchmarks, and buyer behavior
  • Develop clearance strategies for aging or slow-moving inventory
  • Balance inventory velocity with margin optimization
  • Evaluate IT equipment (laptops, servers, networking gear) for resale potential
  • Collaborate with operations on grading, repairs, and refurbishment decisions
  • Understand how configuration changes impact resale value
  • Align asset quality with channel-specific buyer expectations
  • Partner with ITAD operations to ensure assets are tested and wiped (NIST standards)
  • Ensure inventory is properly prepared for each sales channel
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams for efficient fulfillment
  • Manage multi-channel inventory systems to prevent overselling and ensure accuracy
  • Maintain reporting, pipeline tracking, and performance metrics
