The IT Field Technician I is an entry- to mid-level IT technical resource responsible for day-to-day support of users working remotely and in office and healthcare settings. The role interacts with field offices and vendors to support, optimize, and enhance end-user applications and systems, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, point-of-sale systems, and printing. The position travels to clinic and field locations to troubleshoot issues and install software and hardware. It deploys standardized PCs, printers, and communication systems; installs and supports computer hardware, operating systems, software, and printers; and uses imaging software to prepare computers for rollout. The technician documents service calls in the Help Desk, follows IT security policies, reports security concerns, consults IT management on problems and solutions, and keeps the direct supervisor informed of progress and issues. This is a remote-work classification requiring regular travel. Staff must reside in the Coachella Valley in Southern California, with regional travel that may include the Imperial Valley, Los Angeles County, Orange County, Kern County, and San Diego County. The role requires compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. Employees must not engage in the practice of ophthalmology or interfere with the clinician-patient relationship; clinicians retain sole responsibility for professional services provided to patients.
