About The Position

Paradigm is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst who can connect business needs, user expectations, and software development. In this role, you will work closely with employees, clients, software engineers, QA professionals, and project leaders to understand business challenges and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. You will help guide projects from initial discovery through testing and delivery, ensuring that the solutions we build are practical, reliable, and easy to use. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys asking thoughtful questions, organizing complex information, solving problems, and helping technical and nontechnical teams work toward a shared goal.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, software delivery, or a closely related area.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience creating user stories and clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
  • Experience working with developers, QA professionals, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or a similar requirements and work-tracking platform.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical and business concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, manage competing priorities, and help teams reach decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to adapt as requirements, priorities, or business needs change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related productivity tools.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership of issues through resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft-based business and software environments is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand business processes, challenges, and project goals.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business and software requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate requirement discussions and help stakeholders reach clarity and alignment.
  • Work with software engineers, QA professionals, and project managers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Define acceptance criteria that support effective testing and confirm that delivered solutions meet business and user needs.
  • Identify and document business or system problems, assess their potential impact, and help evaluate practical solutions.
  • Track system issues and questions through resolution while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Coordinate or participate in testing for new features, enhancements, and system modifications.
  • Help establish project timeframes and clarify internal and stakeholder deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible project documentation.
  • Assist with training materials and user guidance associated with new solutions.
  • Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute ideas that improve business analysis processes, tools, documentation, and team practices.
  • Validate new features and help support software that is dependable, scalable, and ready for future needs.
