About The Position

Hunt Consolidated is seeking an IT Business Analyst Intern for its IT department in the Dallas, Texas office for Summer 2027. This is a paid summer internship. The IT team manages strategic IT projects and business programs and oversees IT financial management, including budgets. The intern will work alongside project managers and gain practical experience in project management and IT finance by supporting executive reporting, project delivery, and budget analysis.

Requirements

Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in MIS, Information Systems, IT, or Business with a finance/IT focus.
Have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Know modern AI tools, including Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
Have experience working with applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Be a self-starter with an excellent work ethic.
Demonstrate creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
Be able to work in a team environment.
Be able to manage multiple tasks and areas of responsibility concurrently.
Bring innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to project management and financial processes.
Be able to provide academic transcripts.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Power BI or Smartsheet.
A basic understanding of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

Maintain project schedules, status reports, and RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
Manage a small IT project through delivery under the mentorship of a senior project manager.
Support executive reporting and dashboards.
Assist with IT budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support invoice and purchase tracking against budgets.
