IT Business Systems Intern - Summer 2027
About The Position
Medline’s ten-week summer internship program runs from early June through mid-August and is available to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Interns gain hands-on experience, take ownership of projects, and participate in social and networking events, leadership presentations, learning and development opportunities, and community service projects. The IT Business Systems Intern will work on a project to enhance Medline’s SAP environment in areas such as Chargebacks, Source to Pay, Master Data, and ERP Systems. The intern will execute a project intended to deliver business benefits or process efficiencies, with an assigned mentor and opportunities to learn, execute, and present. The role partners with business sponsors, analysts, developers, and management. Projects may involve business process analysis, data analysis, systems design, development, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
- Junior standing in an undergraduate program; the internship program is available to rising seniors.
- Background in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar field.
- Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization, communication, data analysis, and follow-up skills.
- Unrestricted permanent U.S. work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Java.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of and execute a project in Chargebacks, Source to Pay, Master Data, or ERP Systems to deliver business benefits or process efficiencies.
- Partner with business sponsors, analysts, developers, and management to lead the project to success.
- Learn, execute, and present project work with support from an assigned mentor.
- Potentially implement or enhance SAP sales order processes to improve order fulfillment.
- Potentially implement or enhance price, discount, surcharge, tax, license, or rebating models.
- Potentially explore and profile data across multiple systems and capture data lineage.
- Potentially build data models for domains such as Product or Customer, including cross-domain relationships.
- Potentially analyze data quality and develop dashboards to monitor data quality metrics.
