IT Asset Analyst

TEKsystemsColorado Springs, CO
Hybrid

About The Position

Responsible for supporting the management of El Paso County’s IT assets (hardware and/or software) across their full lifecycle to maximize value, ensure compliance, and reduce financial, technical, and cybersecurity risk. This role focuses on maintaining accurate asset inventory, supporting procurement and licensing, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to cost optimization and process maturity initiatives under established IT asset management direction. The IT Asset Analyst will support both Software Asset Management and Hardware Asset Management efforts, including data analysis of licensing, usage, entitlements, and historical purchasing data; creation and maintenance of license positions; review of agreements and invoices; and preparation of leadership-friendly reporting. Hardware responsibilities include organizing and cleaning asset data, supporting end-of-life tracking, enterprise equipment reporting, and significant remaining end-user device work across multiple departments with varying standards. The role will also write and maintain SOPs, create government-required documentation, and contribute to long-term internal planning and process improvement. Tools include ServiceNow (current ITSM, potentially sunsetting next year), Smartsheet (heavily used as a central repository), and ERP systems for downstream asset data. This position requires regular onsite presence initially (5x/week), with potential hybrid flexibility once trust and productivity are established at manager discretion.
