About The Position

The IT Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for the efficient management, tracking, reclamation, assignment, and auditing of all IT assets within Optimum. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the optimal utilization of IT resources, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and licensing concepts.
  • Proficiency in asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, SNOW).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT asset management is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
  • Monitor asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement asset management processes to optimize asset utilization and minimize costs.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of asset inventory records.
  • Coordinate the reclamation and redeployment of IT assets across various departments and locations.
  • Facilitate the assignment of IT assets to employees, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to allocation policies.
  • Collaborate with IT procurement and vendors to manage asset acquisition and disposal processes.
  • Generate reports and metrics related to IT asset inventory, utilization, and compliance for management review.
  • Analyze data trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, department heads, and end-users to understand asset requirements and address issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for asset-related inquiries, providing timely and effective support and guidance.
  • Communicate asset management policies, procedures, and best practices to stakeholders across the organization.
