About The Position

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the life cycle management of IT hardware and software assets. This role involves managing IT inventory across multiple locations, preparing reports, supporting audits, and developing life-cycle management programs for infrastructure assets. The analyst will also be responsible for integrating existing asset management processes into a corporate reporting structure and inventory system in SAP, coordinating asset condition assessments, and collaborating with other departments on financial planning and technical specifications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years shipping and receiving experience
  • 3+ years of inventory management experience in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting inventory reconciliation and reporting
  • Understanding of computer devices– laptops, docking stations, and cable
  • Able to lift/stock/move items up to 40 lbs. with no assistance
  • Hands on SAP inventory experience
  • Hands on Excel reporting and basic analytics

Responsibilities

  • Manage stock room and IT inventory that includes hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, servers, hardware, and peripherals) and software assets at multiple locations
  • Prepare inventory reports as needed on current inventory and perform cycle counts, as well as other inventory reconciliations
  • Support inventory audits and implement inventory controls
  • Pick, pack, and ship inventory to remote users and locations as needed
  • Develop life-cycle management programs for infrastructure assets and other Tangible Capital Assets
  • Incorporate existing asset management processes, tools, and initiatives into a single corporate reporting structure and inventory system in SAP
  • Coordinate, collect, and/or perform condition assessments of infrastructure assets on an ongoing basis
  • Work with various departments to estimate future costs for replacement, rehabilitation, or general maintenance requirements for all assets using industry standard practices.
  • Review impacts of continued growth of existing assets with consideration to resources required to maintain service levels as well as identify future service expansion and required resources
  • Collaborate with the Financial Analyst to provide technical information for the Long-Term Financial Planning, Tangible Capital Assets, and Full Cost Accounting function.
  • Review, research, and report on technical specifications and standards related to IT infrastructure construction and maintenance to improve current programs and systems
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and risk management analysis related to asset management.
  • Review, refine, and update asset management plans on a tri-annual basis.
  • Undertakes other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required, within the scope of the position or as assigned
