About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for vehicle inventory at the facility within company timelines. Using company-provided tools, the specialist documents vehicle condition according to company standards, including completing vehicle inventories and taking supporting photographs. The role also directs traffic flow in the receiving area using a system of priorities to help process inventory on time. A thorough understanding of Copart policy is used to facilitate the customer experience and offer solutions to meet customer needs.

The position involves working outdoors in all seasons and following company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• General automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate handheld devices.
• Driver's license.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and organize the receiving area.
• Operate a camera and handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
• Determine the operational capability of motor vehicles.
• Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
• Maintain an inventory of materials used.
• Follow company policies and procedures and comply with safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
