About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a technology leader and online vehicle auction platform with more than 200 facilities worldwide, connecting vehicle sellers with buyers in over 190 countries. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for processing and maintaining vehicle inventory at the facility within company timelines and standards. This includes documenting vehicle conditions and taking supporting photographs using company-provided tools, directing traffic in the receiving area to support timely processing, and helping customers find solutions in accordance with Copart policy. The role also includes maintaining and organizing the receiving area, inspecting incoming vehicles, completing required vehicle inventories, tracking materials, and following company and safety procedures. The position requires working outdoors in all seasons and offers pay of $18.00–$20.29 per hour.

Must be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

General automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate handheld devices.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and organize the receiving area.
Operate a camera and handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
Determine the operational capability of motor vehicles.
Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
Maintain an inventory of materials used.
Direct traffic in the receiving area using a system of priorities to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory.
Document vehicle condition and take supporting photographs according to company standards.
Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs in accordance with company policy.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
