About The Position

The Inventory Specialist physically counts, reports, reconciles, and optimizes inventory to support efficient daily operations. The role collaborates with various departments to adjust inventory levels in the warehouse management system and investigate discrepancies. It reports to the Operations Manager and oversees inventory-related tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
• Basic data-entry skills for inventory tracking.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tracking inventory.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to plan and organize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, accountable, responsible, and reliable.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies efficiently.
• Capability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Ability to sit and use hands or fingers for data entry and inventory management tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required by inventory handling duties.
• Ability to stand for multiple hours throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Three or more years of experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inventory counts of warehouse materials and systematically report results.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies by tracking product movements in the warehouse management system.
• Document and report inventory audit findings to track accuracy trends.
• Follow up on outstanding inventory issues to resolve discrepancies and align physical inventory with system records.
• Lead and participate in customer-organized inventory audits by preparing count sheets, instructing teams, and processing audit results.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal teams while managing inventory processes.
