About The Position

The Inventory Returns Clerk Associate expedites outgoing freight from NAPA stores to distribution center warehouses, helping keep inventory rotation fresh. The role involves pulling, staging, loading, and shipping freight; processing inventory corrections and return paperwork; pulling orders from worksheets; and cleaning and disposing of packing materials and pallets after worksheets are complete. The associate operates warehouse machinery according to established safety procedures, verifies and completes documentation and reports, and travels between stores in a company-provided vehicle.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a distribution center and/or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to use moving aids such as hand trucks, dollies, motorized carts, and pallet jacks.
• Ability to repeatedly bend or stoop to ground-level shelves and reach upper shelves at 8 feet using a stool or ladder when necessary.
• Ability to understand and recognize part numbers and line codes, accurately and rapidly identifying sequences of numbers and letters.
• Basic understanding of and ability to operate a computer terminal.
• Ability to write legibly, read and understand written and verbal instructions, and communicate with team members.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push, pull, and move at a quick pace.
• Must be able to work in a drug-free atmosphere.
• Availability to work between 7 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Expedite outgoing freight to NAPA Distribution Centers Warehouse by pulling, staging, loading, and shipping freight.
• Process inventory corrections and finalize return paperwork.
• Pull orders from provided worksheets.
• Clean up and dispose of boxes, packing material, and pallets when worksheets are complete.
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures as needed to maintain warehouse stock.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Travel from store to store using a company-provided vehicle.
