About The Position

The Inventory Clerk coordinates the flow, handling, and storage of raw materials, finished goods, and labels throughout the warehouse, making effective use of available areas. The role ensures inventory accuracy and helps maintain the building, forklifts, and palletizers at optimum operating levels. This position is based in Decatur and is scheduled for 2nd shift, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Training takes place on 1st shift, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mandatory overtime may be necessary to cover vacations, call-offs, vacancies, and special projects. The wage is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
3–5 years of relevant experience.
Proficient use of, or ability to become proficient in, Word, Excel, Outlook, and an inventory management system.
Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Good problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented.
Team-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
Coordinate inbound and outbound plant loads.
Complete associated paperwork and reports correctly.
Ensure orders are fulfilled and loaded onto trucks in a timely manner.
Communicate with warehouse employees and supervisors to complete daily needs.
Enter inventory adjustments as needed, perform root cause analysis and corrective actions, manage inventory levels to reduce old-age or hold product, and minimize storage.
Ensure the building, forklifts, and palletizers are maintained at optimum operating levels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
