About The Position

The Inventory Clerk coordinates the flow and handling of raw materials, finished goods, and labels through the warehouse, using available space effectively and ensuring inventory accuracy. The role also helps maintain the building, forklifts, and palletizers at optimum operating levels. The position is scheduled for second shift, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; training takes place on first shift, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mandatory overtime may be required to cover vacations, call-offs, vacancies, or special projects.

Requirements

High school diploma.
3–5 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency, or the ability to become proficient, with Word, Excel, Outlook, and an inventory management system.
Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Good problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented.
Team-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree.

Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
Coordinate inbound and outbound plant loads.
Complete associated paperwork and reports correctly.
Ensure orders are fulfilled and loaded onto trucks in a timely manner.
Communicate with warehouse employees and supervisors to complete daily needs.
Enter inventory adjustments as needed, perform root cause analysis, and take corrective actions.
Manage inventory levels to reduce aged or held product and minimize storage.
Perform other duties as assigned.
