Inventory Assistant 2027 Season
About The Position
The Inventory Assistant is a back-of-house, non-exempt seasonal position that assists with inventory operations and helps ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with established Farm policies, strategies, and procedures. The role is described as suitable for detail-oriented people who enjoy puzzles and prefer a back-of-house environment. The Inventory Assistant produces fill carts for the Market using received-product fill lists or requests from the Inventory Liaison; rotates basement product using the date-rotation system; prepares product for scheduled stock counts; and maintains the cleanliness, organization, and integrity of the basement and credit area. Under the direction of the Receiving Manager, the position implements, expedites, and prioritizes incoming product and may assist with monthly basement inventory checks. Other related or unrelated duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Produce fill carts for the Market from received product using Stocker fill lists or as requested by the Inventory Liaison.
- Rotate basement product using the implemented date-rotation system and prepare product for scheduled stock counts.
- Secure and maintain basement integrity.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the basement and credit area.
- Implement, expedite, and prioritize incoming product under the direction of the Receiving Manager.
- Assist with monthly basement inventory checks when requested.
- Perform duties necessary to provide customer service and respond to the needs of individuals, families, businesses, and organizations served by the Farm.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
