About The Position
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Eureka, CA. This is an inpatient, call-only role covering scheduling needs. The coverage period is ongoing, starting November 21, 2026. The physician will provide 24-hour beeper call coverage with a 20-minute response time, Monday through Sunday, 7 AM to 7 AM. The average daily patient volume is 10-15, with a case mix including Interventional Cardiology, Noninvasive Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology. The facility uses the Epic EMR system. Hospital privileges are not required as temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (Eligible)
- Licensed in CA
- DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, FLURO certifications
- Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty
- EPIC proficiency
Responsibilities
- Provide interventional cardiology services on a call-only basis, comprising 75% interventional and 25% noninvasive procedures
- Perform nuclear cardiology reading and NUC activity as required
- Manage inpatient cardiology consults and acute cardiac conditions during on-call shifts
- Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage with a 20-minute response time
- Collaborate with hospital staff and maintain all required privileging documentation for active hospital clinical activity
