About The Position

Healthcare system seeking an Interventional Cardiologist in Indianapolis, IN. This is a non-profit health care ministry with primary and specialty care physician groups located throughout Indiana and Illinois. With 12 hospitals, this is one of the largest Catholic health care organizations in the Midwest, employing over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers across 260+ locations. The role involves working within a multi-specialty team of twenty-nine cardiologists, two cardiac hospitalists, and twenty-six advanced practice providers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for PCI and peripheral vascular procedures, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction, displaying exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. The physician will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within our Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. Founded in 1978, the organization proudly serves the communities of South and Central Indiana and continues to be on the cutting edge of technology, always seeking new therapies and treatment options for the patients served. The role involves two weeks per month in clinic and two weeks per month rounding in the hospital. The schedule includes Monday – Friday for clinic and hospital rounding. STEMI call is 1:6 (Friday – Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), and Holiday & Weekend Call is 1:6. Average outpatient volume is 15 - 20 patients per day, and average rounding volume is 10 – 15 patients per day. The position performs high volumes, averaging 700+ cases per year, utilizing state-of-the-art labs with Phillips systems. There is minimal travel to outreach locations.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible / Board Certified Interventional Cardiology
  • Ability to hold Indiana state license

Responsibilities

  • Perform PCI and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Provide Invasive - Intervention cardiology services.
  • Round in the hospital.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and staff within the Cardiology service line.
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in STEMI call rotation.
  • Participate in Holiday & Weekend Call rotation.
