About The Position

Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group is seeking an Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist to join the cardiac care team at Valley Children’s Hospital. The physician will provide catheter-based care for children in a dedicated pediatric cardiac catheterization lab, supported by comprehensive cardiac anesthesia, surgery, and ICU services. The role combines cardiac catheterization lab and outpatient clinic responsibilities with inpatient service responsibilities, primarily on a Monday–Friday schedule. The position also includes close collaboration with Stanford and opportunities to teach pediatric residents and contribute to their clinical education. The role offers the opportunity to treat children with congenital and acquired heart disease at the region’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, helping families access specialized care close to home. Central California offers access to outdoor recreation, local dining, nearby national parks, and weekend trips to the coast, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Requirements

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
Completion of advanced fellowship training in pediatric interventional cardiology.
MD or DO degree.
Eligible for California medical licensure.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including ASD closures, neonatal PDA closures, VSD closures, transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement, stent angioplasty for coarctation of the aorta, and aortic and pulmonary balloon valvuloplasty.
Provide outpatient clinic care and fulfill inpatient service responsibilities.
Collaborate closely with Stanford.
Teach pediatric residents and contribute to their clinical education.
