About The Position
The Interventional Cardiologist provides clinical cardiology services and call coverage at a hospital in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The coverage period is February 15, 2027, through May 17, 2027. Clinical shifts are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. On-call shifts are Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 7 a.m., and weekends, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The reported volume is 15 consults and three procedures per day. The department has 74 beds and uses Epic. Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeline of 60 days.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania license or Universal License (IMLC).
- Board eligible or board certified in Interventional Cardiology.
- DEA registration required.
- Hospital privileges required.
- Able to perform TEEs, echo reads, caths, and cardiac windows.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative services for cardiology patients.
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations (caths).
- Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and echo reads.
- Manage STEMI call coverage, including weeknights and weekends.
- Oversee cardiac windows and other special procedures.
