Outstanding Interventional Cardiologist opportunity
About The Position
Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart & Vascular Care is recruiting a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a junior faculty position in its Section of Interventional Cardiology. The role is suited to a physician completing an interventional fellowship in 2027 or within a few years of completing training. This is a coronary position within a high-volume interventional program; in 2025, the Bronx program performed more than 7,000 invasive procedures, including over 2,800 PCIs. The successful candidate will provide interventional cardiology care and develop expertise in complex PCI with mentorship from senior faculty and a path toward independent complex practice. The position also offers opportunities to participate in clinical trials, lead research and publish, and teach fellows and junior faculty. The role is system-wide, with credentialing at the Moses, Weiler, and Nyack interventional sites. Call is typically 1:6 or 1:7, depending on the month.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
- Strong clinical skills in PCI, including transradial access, intracoronary imaging, and physiology.
- Interest in renal denervation and pulmonary thrombectomy.
- Suitable for a physician completing an interventional fellowship in 2027 or within a few years of finishing training.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in renal denervation or pulmonary thrombectomy is useful but not required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform interventional cardiology procedures, including PCI.
