About The Position

Seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide call coverage for interventional cardiology services at a hospital in West Burlington, IA. This is a Locum Tenens position covering 24-hour call shifts from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The role involves rounding on clinic patients (12-15 per day) and inpatient consults (5-10 per day), as well as performing a variety of interventional cardiology procedures. General cardiology call coverage may also be required.

Requirements

• Active IA license required; Universal License (IMLC) accepted.
• Diagnostic catheterization
• Angioplasty
• Stenting
• Stress echo
• Nuclear stress
• Echocardiography interpretation
• Holter monitoring
• Event monitoring
• TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)
• Cardioversion

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage for interventional cardiology, including 24-hour call shifts.
• Round on clinic patients (12-15 per day) and inpatient consults (5-10 per day).
• Perform interventional procedures such as diagnostic catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, stress echo, nuclear stress, TEEs, and cardioversions.
• Cover general cardiology call as needed.
• Maintain active Iowa medical license and comply with credentialing requirements.
