About The Position

The Medpace Internship Program is a flexible, paid professional development opportunity offering hands-on finance and accounting experience. The Internal Audit Intern demonstrates ownership across audit stages, including planning, scoping, fieldwork testing, risk ranking, and reporting. The role examines organizational systems and processes, documents audit results, and develops recommendations to minimize risk and improve performance and productivity. It also supports compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-oriented.
Excellent analytical, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with all levels of management.
Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision when needed.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership of audit stages, including planning, scoping, fieldwork testing, risk ranking, and reporting.
Deliver high-quality audit papers and document audit results concisely and professionally for the management team.
Collect, examine, analyze, and verify information about organizational systems and processes by reviewing manuals, policies, reports, financial statements, and other written materials.
Develop recommendations for process and system changes that minimize risk and improve performance and productivity.
Ensure the organization complies with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
