About The Position

Cherry Bekaert’s Audit Intern role provides insight into the public accounting profession and helps interns build a solid foundation for their careers. Interns work across a variety of client engagements, apply accounting knowledge using Firm technology, and learn by shadowing Audit professionals. The position also includes team-building and training, a marketing or research project, and social and community activities.

Requirements

• Be a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation.
• Be proficient with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Be able to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel.
• Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States; Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology.
• Shadow Audit professionals of all levels.
• Participate in team-building and training initiatives.
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project.
• Attend social functions, including happy hours, lunches, community service projects, and other outings.
