About The Position

Cherry Bekaert’s Spring 2027 Audit Intern will gain insight into the public accounting profession and build a foundation for a career in the field. The intern will work across a variety of client engagements, apply accounting knowledge using firm technology, and learn from Audit professionals. The position also includes team-building and training, a marketing or research project, and participation in social and community activities.

Requirements

• Be a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation.
• Be proficient with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Be able to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel.
• Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States; Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology.
• Shadow Audit professionals at all levels.
• Participate in team-building and training initiatives.
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project.
• Attend social functions, including happy hours, lunches, community service projects, and other outings.
