Ziegler’s internship program provides students with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing equipment while learning from senior technicians. Through paid internships and scholarship opportunities, interns develop practical mechanical skills with support and mentorship from experienced technicians. In a shop environment, the Intern Technician assists with troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and construction or agricultural equipment. The role also involves learning to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to help ensure maximum value for work performed. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring a pre-employment drug test. Work may take place indoors and/or outdoors, and noise levels may be loud at times. Ziegler states that it will reasonably accommodate known disabilities of qualified individuals.
