About The Position
Ziegler’s internship program provides students with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy equipment while learning from senior technicians. Intern Technicians assist with troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and construction or agricultural equipment in a shop environment. They learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to help ensure maximum value for work performed. The position is safety-sensitive and subject to a pre-employment drug test.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a two-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics, or a related field of study.
- Maintain good grades.
- Provide positive recommendations from instructors.
- Have a positive attitude and a desire to work as a team player.
- Own a mechanic tool set.
- Be able to perform the listed physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Meet the pre-employment drug-testing requirement for this safety-sensitive role.
