About The Position

Spire is seeking a career-minded student or recent graduate for a paid internship supporting operations across its regions. The internship provides real-world experience applying classroom learning and developing skills related to the assigned department and the natural gas industry. The intern will work with the Standards Team and Standards/MTTE (materials, tools, technology, equipment) Team on company standards, materials information, and research into natural gas distribution equipment. The position is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days at home, and may involve open-office space and/or field work depending on the position. The intern must work 35–40 hours per week throughout the summer internship and participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and the Project Poster Symposium. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate rising junior, senior, or graduate-level student in fall 2027.
Must be pursuing engineering, business administration, or another degree in a related field.
Must be able to work 35–40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Microsoft Office proficiency is required for most positions.

Responsibilities

Take photos and/or use the intranet to update pictures and descriptions in the current Material Catalog.
Work with the Standards Team to finalize company-wide Standards and Procedures in Word.
Work with the Standards/MTTE (materials, tools, technology, equipment) Team to research innovative natural gas distribution equipment featuring the latest technology to improve efficiency.
Participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and the Project Poster Symposium.
