About The Position

This internship focuses on performing daily Learning Operations team functions, including Knowledge Architecture & Content Audit, Data Collection & Manipulation, and Knowledge Management and Learning Platform Support & Optimization. A key project will involve designing and architecting a consolidated SharePoint site for the department-wide Learning and Development team, including establishing functional permissions, standardizing global navigation, documenting procedures, and gathering user feedback.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced degree program.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week internship program.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Management, Information Science/Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Business Analytics preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Interest or exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS)/Content Management Systems (CMS): (examples: Workday Learning, Cornerstone, or Docebo, SharePoint, SQL Servers).
  • Exposure to Data Visualization Tools: PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables), Power BI, or basic SQL to clean and query learning data.
  • Understanding of Design Basics: logical folder nesting; experience with creating intuitive layouts using standard SharePoint modern web parts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily Learning Operations team functions.
  • Standardize tagging by applying consistent characteristics to courses.
  • Map content journeys by documenting how knowledge flows from subject matter experts to employee users.
  • Administer the learning measurement process, including distribution and data collection/manipulation from learning surveys, quality and productivity reports, learner engagement metrics, and knowledge management system usage.
  • Manage digital assets across multiple repositories.
  • Troubleshoot end-user/learner access issues.
  • Manage learner enrollment/status, course/session creation/updating/retirement in the learning management system/curriculum management system.
  • Design/Architect a Central Repository SharePoint site for department-wide announcements, shared resources, and general documentation.
  • Establish Functional Permissions for SharePoint sub-sites.
  • Standardize Global Navigation across SharePoint sub-sites.
  • Create user guides and process maps detailing SharePoint procedures.
  • Gather user feedback on information accessibility through surveys or focus groups.
