About The Position
Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern to join its team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The intern will work closely with the design team, contribute in a consultative capacity, and support the field marketing team in establishing and building relationships with civil engineering clients while contributing to commercial objectives. The opportunity is intended for someone pursuing an engineering degree who wants to apply their knowledge in support of engineers, contractors, and developers on civil engineering projects. Local candidates only. The intern will collaborate with department design engineers to present project-specific solutions to clients and help provide designs and advice for integrating company products into site plans. Under the supervision of senior engineers, the intern will assist with engineering designs, plans, calculations, and analyses. The role also supports cross-functional teamwork, submittals, production, and product delivery; may include site visits to assess project progress and quality; and requires maintaining engineering standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program; Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, database management software, and basic CAD.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice To Haves
- Civil Engineering undergraduate studies are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department design engineers to present project-specific solutions to clients.
- Provide designs and advice to help secure and integrate company products on site plans.
- Assist with creating engineering designs and plans under senior engineers' supervision.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support effective communication and timely project completion.
- Support submittals, production, and product delivery.
- May conduct site visits to assess project progress and quality.
- Maintain engineering standards and procedures.
- Support the field marketing team in establishing and building relationships with civil engineering clients.
