About The Position

DIHO Consulting USA LLC is seeking an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher for an established transportation and logistics company in Houston, Texas. The role coordinates CDL drivers, container movements, port appointments, and daily dispatch operations in a fast-paced trucking environment. The dispatcher supports efficient fleet utilization and timely freight movement while maintaining communication with drivers, customers, and terminal personnel.

Requirements

• Previous experience in intermodal trucking dispatch or container transportation is preferred.
• Familiarity with Port Houston operations and terminal appointment procedures.
• Knowledge of container logistics, chassis management, and drayage operations.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) or dispatch software.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch CDL Class A drivers for local and regional container transportation.
• Schedule container pickups and deliveries at Port Houston terminals, including Bayport and Barbours Cut.
• Monitor container availability, chassis assignments, and empty container returns.
• Coordinate port appointments, equipment releases, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain communication with drivers, customers, and terminal personnel.
• Track shipments and provide timely delivery-status updates.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts, transportation delays, and operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, transportation documents, and daily reports.
• Support efficient fleet utilization and timely freight movement.
