About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable Interim Girls Ice Hockey Head Coach to lead and develop the Varsity Ice Hockey program. The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture while emphasizing sportsmanship, skill development, teamwork, and personal growth.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes in a positive environment.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Successful completion of required background checks and district hiring requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Ice Hockey coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Experience working with high school-aged students is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct effective, engaging practices focused on skill development and team concepts.
• Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events.
• Promote sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and academic success.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administrators, and athletic department staff.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Maintain equipment and assist with program organization as needed.
• Adhere to school, league, and state athletic association policies and regulations.
