About The Position

As a member of Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, you will create personalized beauty experiences for customers and contribute to a passionate team. The role focuses on engaging customers to understand their needs and maximizing sales in luxury and trend-focused beauty brands. You will provide makeup and skincare guidance, build customer relationships in-store and digitally, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
• Maintain department organization and cleanliness so it is ready for customers.
• Keep up with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
