Integration Engineer, ERP Implementation

Particle Measuring Systems•Niwot, CO

About The Position

Particle Measuring Systems is replacing its IFS ERP with Infor LN. Interface build and testing are under way from October 2026, with go-live targeted for July 2027. The program integrates Infor LN with Salesforce, NoMuda MES, Modula automated warehouse, trade compliance and tax platforms, e-invoicing and bank payment files, Workday, ADP, UPS, FedEx, PayPal Braintree, and a software license service. Infor builds and tests the LN side; PMS owns the third-party side, including configuration or build, environments, connectivity, credentials, and end-to-end testing. The Integration Engineer is one of two hands-on integration engineers on the PMS side. The role covers reviewing Infor’s technical specifications, building and configuring non-LN integrations, preparing environments and connectivity, testing integrations, and supporting go-live. Work includes API and authentication configuration, middleware and connectors, file interfaces, scripts, test automation, and coordination with vendors. Salesforce is administered in-house; vendors’ professional services may handle their side of the two on-premises systems, with this role coordinating and testing that work. The initial priority is proving connectivity for complex integrations in test environments, followed by unit testing standard integrations. This is a systems-integration role focused on connecting ERP and surrounding systems and demonstrating that the integrations work, rather than an application development role. The position supports Infor’s LN-side build, the Technical Delivery Architect’s architecture decisions (or the Business Systems Manager until that role is filled), and process owners who define acceptance scenarios. The position is full time, starting in October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. It is initially for six months, with an expectation of extension through go-live in July 2027 and hypercare. Boulder, Colorado is preferred; remote work is possible with core overlap on US Mountain time. Some early or late calls may be needed because Infor works across US and India time zones.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of hands-on integration engineering between business systems.
  • Experience building, connecting, and testing REST API integrations, including OAuth, API keys, payloads, and error handling.
  • Experience with file-based integration, including flat files, XML, and SFTP.
  • Experience setting up and running integration tests, including environments, test data, and defect tracking with a vendor team.
  • Ability to read technical specifications critically and work with vendors to obtain documentation, sandboxes, and support.
  • Comfort working on a small client-side team alongside a much larger vendor team.
  • Habit of documenting work and communicating directly about issues.
  • Ability to drive technical issues with vendors and implementation partners to resolution without waiting to be asked.

Nice To Haves

  • An ERP implementation or major upgrade carried through go-live.
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience, including shop floor, warehouse, shipping, or order-to-cash processes.
  • Experience with an integration platform; Infor ION and its API Gateway are especially valuable, and Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, or comparable platforms also count.
  • Salesforce integration experience; Apex development is not expected, but is useful.
  • Exposure of on-premises systems to cloud applications.
  • Experience automating recurring integration testing: building and running unattended Postman or similar collections; scripting test-data setup and result comparison with Python, PowerShell, or similar; generating and validating test files against schemas; reading integration logs and message queues; and checking results with SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Review Infor’s technical specifications (TAR-040) from the third-party perspective, including mappings, keys, error handling, and feasibility.
  • Build and configure the third-party side of integrations, including Salesforce in coordination with the Salesforce administrator, API and file interfaces for cloud vendors, and coordination with vendor professional services for on-premises systems.
  • Obtain and configure vendor test environments, credentials, and service accounts; maintain the inventory and environment-specific endpoints, credentials, and configurations across Infor and vendor test, training, and production environments.
  • Keep the per-integration readiness record current.
  • Prove each Infor LN-to-third-party connection early in the test landscape and work with PMS infrastructure on network and security for on-premises systems.
  • Trace failures across LN, middleware, network, and third-party systems using API responses, logs, message queues, SQL, and vendor diagnostics; own fixes or escalations.
  • Write and execute unit and end-to-end integration tests with process owners.
  • Load test data with the data migration team and log and pursue defects with Infor Support.
  • Support deployment through Infor’s environments to production, cutover checks, and hypercare.
  • Document a hand-over note for each integration.
  • Work with Infor’s integration architect and functional consultants, PMS’s Salesforce administrator, process owners, vendor professional services, and PMS infrastructure.
