About The Position

Particle Measuring Systems (PMS) is replacing its IFS ERP with Infor LN. Interface build and testing are underway from October 2026, with go-live targeted for July 2027. The program integrates Infor LN with Salesforce, NoMuda MES, Modula automated warehousing, trade compliance and tax platforms, e-invoicing and bank payment files, Workday, ADP, UPS, FedEx, PayPal Braintree, and a software license service. Infor builds and tests the LN side; PMS owns the third-party side, including configuration or development, test environments, connectivity, credentials, and end-to-end testing. This is a hands-on, client-side systems-integration role, working as one of two PMS integration engineers through technical specification review, third-party build and configuration, connectivity, testing, deployment, and go-live support. The engineer owns non-LN interfaces and configuration, test environments, connectivity between LN and third-party systems, and tests that verify integrations. Salesforce is administered in-house. Vendors’ professional services may handle their side of the two on-premises systems, with the engineer coordinating and testing that work. The initial priority is proving connectivity for complex integrations in test environments, followed by unit testing standard integrations. The role supports Infor’s LN-side build, the Technical Delivery Architect’s architecture decisions (or the Business Systems Manager’s until that role is filled), and process owners defining acceptance scenarios. It reports to the Technical Delivery Architect, who reports to the Transformation Director; until that role is in post, it reports to the Business Systems Manager. The engineer works with an Enterprise Applications Engineer, a Business Systems Analyst, Infor’s integration architect and functional consultants, PMS’s Salesforce administrator, process owners, vendor professional services, and PMS infrastructure. The position is full-time and is expected to start in October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. It is initially for six months, with an expectation of extension through the July 2027 go-live and hypercare. Boulder, Colorado is preferred, but remote work is possible with core overlap on US Mountain time. Some early or late calls may be needed to work across US and India time zones.

Requirements

  • At least five years of hands-on integration engineering between business systems, including building, connecting, and testing integrations.
  • Experience with REST API integration, including OAuth, API keys, payloads, and error handling.
  • Experience with file-based integration, including flat files, XML, and SFTP.
  • Experience setting up and running integration tests, including environments, test data, and defect tracking with a vendor team.
  • Ability to critically review technical specifications and work with vendors to obtain documentation, sandboxes, and support.
  • Comfort working on a small client-side team alongside a larger vendor team; able to communicate directly about issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Availability for full-time work, with core overlap on US Mountain time; some early or late calls may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • An ERP implementation or major upgrade taken through go-live.
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience, including shop floor, warehouse, shipping, or order-to-cash processes.
  • Experience with an integration platform; Infor ION and its API Gateway are especially valuable. Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, or comparable platforms also count.
  • Salesforce integration experience; Apex development is not expected, but is useful.
  • Exposure of on-premises systems to cloud applications.
  • Automation of recurring integration tests, such as unattended Postman or similar collections, scripts for test-data setup and result comparison using Python, PowerShell, or similar, test-file generation and schema validation, and use of integration logs, message queues, or SQL to diagnose transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Review Infor technical specifications (TAR-040) from the third-party perspective, assessing mappings, keys, error handling, and feasibility.
  • Build and configure the third-party side, including Salesforce in collaboration with the Salesforce administrator, API and file interfaces for cloud vendors, and vendor professional services for on-premises systems.
  • Obtain and configure vendor test environments, credentials, and service accounts; maintain the inventory and environment-specific endpoints, credentials, and configuration across Infor test, training, and production tenants and corresponding vendor environments.
  • Keep the per-integration readiness record current.
  • Prove each LN-to-third-party connection early in the test landscape and work with PMS infrastructure on network and security for on-premises systems.
  • Trace failures across LN, middleware, network, and third-party systems using API responses, logs, message queues, SQL, and vendor diagnostics; own fixes or escalations.
  • Write and execute unit and end-to-end integration tests with process owners; load test data with the data migration team; log and follow up on defects with Infor.
  • Support deployment through Infor environments to production, cutover checks, and hypercare.
  • Document a hand-over note for each integration.
  • Support Infor’s LN-side build, architecture decisions, and process owners defining acceptance scenarios.
  • Drive technical issues with vendors and implementation partners to resolution and document work as a habit.
