About The Position

Zantech is looking for a talented Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist to contribute to the success of our upcoming Operations and Administrative Support Services project for a Hybrid role based out of Mobile, AL. The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist provides on-site logistics and configuration management support at the OPC PRO in Mobile, AL. This position participates directly in physical configuration audits and outfitting activities aboard vessels under construction, prepares associated materials and reports, and attends designated program review meetings. The role requires active participation in shipyard activities and physical walkthroughs of vessels and production spaces.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of experience relevant to supporting logistics or configuration and shipbuilding processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes including Technical Assessment Reviews (TARs), proposal development, equipment life cycle cost, logistics life cycle sustainment, and ECP processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of outfitting/load out of ships.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Configuration Management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Physical Configuration Audits.
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods to organize, plan, conduct, and evaluate outfitting/configuration programs; ability to produce reports, briefs, and presentations.
  • Experience with vessel outfitting, equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and logistic impacts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
  • Physical ability to perform moderate walking and movement through an active shipyard and OPCs under construction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials including charts and briefings for project reviews; generate ad-hoc outfitting reports.
  • Participate in outfitting material activities aboard cutters under construction.
  • Participate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs).
  • Attend meetings related to assigned tasks as designated by the COR; prepare and provide presentations for outfitting and PCA status.
  • Maintain knowledge of Technical Assessment Reviews (TARs), Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes, equipment life cycle cost, and logistics life cycle sustainment.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of CDRL processes to support outfitting documentation requirements.
  • Support vessel outfitting activities including equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and logistic impact assessments.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Configuration Management principles and apply them to day-to-day program support activities.
  • Moderate walking and movement through an active shipyard and OPCs under construction is required.
