Integrated Logistics Support Engineer

Leidos•Chesapeake, VA

About The Position

Leidos is seeking a motivated, analytical Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to support complex U.S. Navy combat systems and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. The role applies engineering principles across technical domains to support system reliability, maintainability, and life cycle sustainment. The engineer works with engineering, logistics, and technical teams to evaluate systems, develop maintenance and repair strategies, and deliver cost-effective solutions that improve operational readiness and long-term supportability. The position includes conducting Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); evaluating reliability and maintainability data; recommending maintenance and repair requirements; and developing maintenance planning, repair recommendations, and provisioning requirements. The engineer also reviews technical documentation and contributes analyses, reports, and recommendations for program requirements and customer deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Systems, or a related discipline) and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in engineering analysis, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, maintainability analysis, logistics engineering, or life cycle sustainment.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and equipment specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary technical environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy systems, defense electronics, military platforms, or other complex technical systems.
  • Familiarity with LORA, FMECA, or Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) engineering.
  • Knowledge of Navy maintenance concepts, including organizational-, intermediate-, and depot-level maintenance.
  • Experience in ILS, provisioning, maintenance planning, or logistics product development.
  • Familiarity with life cycle cost analysis, reliability-centered maintenance, or logistics support analysis.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines to develop technical solutions.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to determine cost-effective maintenance and repair strategies for Navy combat systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to assess potential equipment failures and operational impacts and identify maintenance and reliability requirements.
  • Analyze reliability and maintainability data, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), for maintenance planning and life cycle cost assessments.
  • Evaluate and recommend organizational-, intermediate-, and depot-level maintenance and repair requirements based on technical, operational, and economic considerations.
  • Apply engineering principles across technical disciplines to assess system supportability, identify improvement opportunities, and develop life cycle sustainment solutions.
  • Develop and support maintenance planning, repair recommendations, and provisioning requirements to improve system availability, reliability, and long-term supportability.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical documentation, equipment specifications, and reliability data for engineering assessments and logistics product development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, provisioning, technical documentation, and ILS teams to identify and document maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Prepare technical analyses, reports, and recommendations supporting program requirements and customer deliverables.
