We're looking for an Intake Worker to provide essential operational and administrative support to our Language Assessment and Referral Program. As the first point of contact for clients or Settlement Service providers, you will be at the heart of creating a welcoming environment that sets the tone for their journey to success. Reporting to the Program Manager, our selected candidate will support the delivery and coordination of language assessment and referral services, ensuring adherence to operating standards and protocols. Key tasks include screening applicants to validate eligibility for services, scheduling assessments, managing client interactions, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves liaising with Language Assessors and Program Managers, supporting clients with special needs, and fostering community engagement by building partnerships with local organizations. The Intake Worker will also assist in reporting, data management, and ensure compliance with privacy policies. Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or relevant experience in social services or office administration.
  • Experience working with newcomers, vulnerable populations, and/or volunteers.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of LINC or Adult ESL programs.
  • Level 1 First Aid certificate.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Reliable vehicle.
