About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Intake Nurse (RN) at its Indianapolis, Indiana detox and residential rehabilitation facility. The nurse manages the complete medical intake process and performs nursing shift duties to support clients’ transition into treatment and ongoing care. The role coordinates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams and maintains timely, accurate medical documentation. The facility provides detox and residential treatment in a multidisciplinary setting.
Requirements
- Minimum one-year diploma program completed after high school.
- Current licensure to practice in the state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
- Addiction-related experience required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently.
- Compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment.
- Complete nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, conducting drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work.
- Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain accurate medication logs.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Ensure complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client.
