About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Intake Nurse (RN) for its detox and residential treatment facility in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The nurse manages the medical intake process and performs nursing shift duties while coordinating care with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The scheduled shift is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Requirements

• Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Hold current licensure to practice in the state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and able to multitask and work efficiently.
• Demonstrate a compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment.
• Complete nursing shift duties, including taking vitals, conducting drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain accurate medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client.
