About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Intake Nurse (RN) for its residential facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The facility provides detox and residential addiction treatment. The nurse manages the medical intake process and performs nursing duties while coordinating care with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The role is for first shift, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Complete a minimum one-year post-high-school diploma program.
• Hold current licensure to practice in the state or a compact license with multistate privileges.
• Have addiction-related experience.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and able to multitask and work efficiently.
• Show a compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete medical intake process to support a seamless transition into treatment.
• Complete nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, conducting drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain accurate medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client.
