About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Intake Nurse (RN) for its residential facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The position manages clients’ medical intake and nursing care to support a seamless transition into treatment. The facility is a 144-bed detox and residential rehabilitation center offering drug and alcohol addiction treatment, evidence-based clinical programming, comprehensive medical care, and medication-assisted treatment options. The role works in coordination with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams.

Requirements

• At least a one-year diploma program completed after high school.
• Current licensure to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Addiction-related experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently.
• Compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment.
• Complete nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, conducting drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain accurate medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client.
