About The Position

ZLG is seeking an Intake Attorney to serve as the first point of contact for potential clients. The attorney interviews prospective clients to learn the facts of their cases and determine whether they fit the firm’s practice areas. The role also manages intake for new clients and their initial meetings, explains the firm’s services, and helps clients understand contracts and next steps. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a practicing attorney; personal injury case experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in intake or sales.
• Ability to vet and research incoming cases against firm guidelines.
• Ability to communicate the firm’s strengths, set realistic expectations, and obtain the client’s signature.
• Positive attitude, strong listening skills, and genuine empathy.
• Comfort with technology and ability to adopt new processes quickly.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active good standing with any U.S. state bar.

Nice To Haves

• Personal injury case experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential cases for sign-up alongside the intake team.
• Speak with potential clients, answer their questions, and assess their cases.
• Represent the firm as an attorney by explaining its services and securing sign-ups for cases the firm wants to take; escalate to a senior attorney when needed.
• Review contracts with new clients and explain next steps.
• Follow intake processes to set up new cases and notify the firm and assigned attorney team about each sign-up.
