About The Position

The Insurance Verification Rep verifies and confirms insurance benefits for all in-house patients and comprehensively documents coverage details. The role verifies payor sources to obtain necessary authorizations for hospital services and follows up continuously to maintain coverage and authorizations and support clean claims for reimbursement. This is a full-time, varied-shift position at West Henderson Hospital in the Valley Health System.

Requirements

• Two to three years of experience in a Revenue Cycle or healthcare position involving insurance payors and verification/authorization processes.
• Computer proficiency, including word processing and a patient accounting system.
• HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
