About The Position

A-MAX Insurance is hiring an in-office Insurance Sales Agent to help customers with insurance needs and build a client base. The role suits a motivated, customer-focused person with a strong sales mentality, good organizational and interpersonal skills, and an interest in educating customers about their insurance choices. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, and ongoing support for career growth. The position includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service or insurance sales experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• A valid, current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with new policies, changes to existing policies, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and insurance questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek new clients, develop lists of prospects, and build clientele through networking and marketing.
• Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
• Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain an active license with TDI.
