About The Position
Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent for its Craig County office in New Castle, Virginia. The agent will help local farm families, landowners, small business owners, and other community members protect their homes, land, and livelihoods. The position offers an existing book of business to review and service, a base salary, commissions on new sales, and performance-based earnings. Total compensation depends on results and relationships built with members, with no earnings cap. A sign-on bonus may be available. The role is suited to someone who is locally connected, self-motivated, goal-oriented, persistent, and passionate about helping others. Licensing training materials and classes are provided and paid for candidates who are not yet licensed. Agents receive support from a dedicated sales and systems training team and ongoing growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Property and Casualty license and Life, Health, and Annuities licenses, or willingness to obtain them through company-provided and paid licensing training.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Goal-oriented, driven-to-succeed mindset.
- Local knowledge or connection to Craig County and its community.
- Persistence, self-motivation, and a desire to help others.
