About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Insurance Producer in Columbia, South Carolina, to help educators address financial challenges through tailored insurance and financial solutions. The producer receives mentorship from an experienced agent, hands-on industry experience, and training focused on products designed for educators. The role offers a performance-based 1099 compensation structure, including a 36-month incentive plan, enhanced commissions, monthly incentives based on sales volume, and quarterly production bonuses. Producers can leverage established books of business, a niche market, value-added services, a multi-line product portfolio, and streamlined sales processes while building their own business and client base. The position involves educating potential clients in individual and group presentations, developing community and professional connections, staying informed about industry trends, and building strong market relationships. Work may take place in person, in the field, and/or from an office setting. A mentor agent provides ongoing support and accountability.
